Vernell P. "Pat" Hodgkin, United States Army Retired SFC and a graduate of Richmond High School Class of '66, passed peacefully at his home into the hands of our Lord Jesus surrounded by his family on Tuesday March 11, 2025. He leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Marilou Hodgkin; his sons Richard Hodgkin and Edward (Virginia) Hodgkin. He also leaves 4 step children Nichole (Brian) Pemberton, Darren Palmer, Stephen Palmer, and Zachery (Jenna) Palmer. Also he leaves his brothers, Robert "Bobby O" Owens, Michael Owens, Christopher Owens, along with his sisters Marcia Ghant and Audrey Owens. He will be missed by his 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, and many favorite nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his beautiful baby daughter, Arianna Demetria Hodgkin and his parents Robert and Ruby Owens. There will be a celebration of life at Mt Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 1108 North H St., Richmond, IN on March 29, 2025 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM.
