Vickie DeVore

Vickie L. DeVore, age 70, of Columbus, died Wednesday, October 4, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 12, 1952, daughter of the late Dale and Betty (Grant) Weatherman. Vickie was a 1970 graduate of Brookhaven High School and retired secretary with Columbus Cardiology Consultants after many years of service. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, she will be dearly missed by her husband of 45 years, John A. DeVore; son, Kenneth (Kelly Foglia) DeVore; daughter-in-law, Sarah; beloved grandchildren, Kaleb (Madison Bode) DeVore, Samantha DeVore and Madilyn DeVore; sisters, Jo Ellen Crabtree and Andreae (Robert) Gehring; brother Chris (Paula) Weatherman; nieces and nephews, Jaime Cooley, Kara Hull, Kevin Kowalsky and Jay Thompson; sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews; other relatives and many friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Jonathan A. DeVore. Vickie made family her number one priority, especially her husband, sons and grandchildren. She loved reading James Patterson books, cooking for family and friends, collecting cookbooks and the Christmas season, collecting Nutcracker figurines. She enjoyed to go dancing and listening to Barry Manilow and The Lettermen. Graveside Service and Interment will be held 10:00 am Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E.
