

Victor Chris Casasanta, Jr., passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 23, 1942 to the late Victor Chris Casasanta, Sr. and Nina Louise Casasanta. Vic was 1960 graduate of Bishop Watterson High School where he was Senior Class President. He served as a Sgt. in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam where he was a Helicopter Crew Chief. He earned the Air Medal w/2 silver stars and 3 gold stars, RVN Campaign Medal, Combat Crew Insignia w/3 stars, Vietnamese Service Medal w/2 stars, Good Conduct Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. Vic earned his real estate brokerage license from the Hondros College, and with his wife Sandy by his side they founded Victor Casasanta Realty in Grove City, Ohio which is still family owned and operated. He was a pioneer of the foreclosure industry in Central Ohio. He was a member of the Columbus Board of Realtors, the Ohio Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. He was also a member of the American Legion, VFW, the Grove City Elks, and the Grove City Moose Lodge. Vic was a parishioner at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer; he enjoyed bowling, fishing, going to the casino, and spending time at his second home in Punta Gorda, Florida. Vic loved putting on his fedora and driving his 350Z convertible. Most of all he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and the rest of his family. Vic was kind hearted and dedicated. He was a beloved, husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Joseph and Michael. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Sandy Casasanta; wonderful children, Amy (John) Morrisey and Victor Patrick (Kellie) Casasanta; precious grandchildren, Evan (Amy) and Drew (Corey) Morrisey, Victoria, Caitlin, and Isabelle Casasanta, and Alex Mantooth. Vic is also survived by his sister, Jody Smith; brothers in-law, Gary (Betty) Gabriel and Sam Gabriel' sister in-law, Linda (Ed) Wilburn; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Friends may call on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM with prayer service at 7:30PM at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00AM at the Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 6440 S. High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio 43137.
