

Viola Jean Crocker, age 59, passed away on January 14, 2012. She was born August 19, 1952 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Luther and Billie Jean (Griffith) Hay; also preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, David Crocker, in 2010. Viola attended Columbus South High School. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary Benson W. Hough Post #3424. Viola enjoyed playing Bingo, reality TV and making late night visits to Tee Jays. She enjoyed all types of music, and especially loved seeing Loretta Lynn in concert when she came to the Ohio State Fair. There was nothing more important to her than her family. She is survived by her children, Randy (Analeydis) Urban, Jr., Martha Crocker and George R. (Teasha) Crocker; grandchildren, Alexandria, Kiara, Gianna, Martin, Amariea, George, Jr., David and Teaya; siblings, Elmer (Marty) Hay, Randall (Cindy) Hay, Billy (Amy) Hay, Linda Corcoran and John Henry (Patty) Ranke; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends 5-8pm Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232. Graveside services will be held at 11am Friday, January 20, 2012 at Obetz Cemetery, 4455 Groveport Rd., Obetz, OH 43207; Andrew Hoover, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Contributions may be made at the funeral home.
