

Virginia C. (Ginny) McGuire of Upper Arlington went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2015. Ginny was born on November 26, 1928 in Hackensack, New Jersey to the late Victoria and John J. Rehm of Little Ferry, New Jersey.
She graduated from Lodi High School in New Jersey and Weber College for Women in Babson Park, Florida (now Weber International University). Ginny was a buyer for Lord and Taylor in New York City before her marriage to John B. McGuire on March 8, 1953.
Ginny and Jack lived all over the country while Jack was with General Foods Corporation including New York City; White Plains, NY; Hartsdale, NY; Torrance, CA; Edina, MN; Dover, DE; and Upper Arlington, Ohio, where she lived for 47 years. She was an associate at Lazarus Kingsdale for over 19 years. Ginny enjoyed Bible Studies, reading, traveling, and helping her family and friends. Ginny was loved by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her brother Ken. She is survived by her five children: Kevin, Kim (Frank) Nemeth, Scott, Sue, and Brian (Dawne) McGuire. Grandchildren: Sunny (John) Fahlgren, Christy (Keith) Thomas, Frank (Keri) Nemeth; Meghan and Marleigh McGuire; Mari, Brenna, Colin, Logan (Kailee), and Molly McGuire and nine great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Philip Burkhalter; sister-in-law, Rita Rehm and many extended family members. Her special canine companion, Mabry, was a great comfort to her. Ginny was a member of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church.
Friends may call Thursday, February 26 from 4:00-7:00pm at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, February 27 at 11:00am at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, 2300 Lytham Road, with a burial following the service at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Per Ginny's request, in lieu of flowers, contributions to Ohio Health Hospice or Breast Cancer Research Foundation are appreciated. The McGuire family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support.
