Virginia Lee Reed

Virginia "Ginny" Reed, age 77, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015. She was born September 1, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harold and Ethel Rings. Ginny grew up amidst the family business, Rings Florist, and following graduation from Hilliard High School and Ohio State School of Cosmetology, she became co-owner of Rings Beauty Salon. Ginny loved spending time with family, whether playing softball, playing cards, traveling or going to Columbus Motor Speedway, she always enjoyed watching everybody's kids and just being with family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Thomas Junior Reed and a son, Thomas Randall Reed. She is survived by 2 children, Bob (Diana) Reed and Tammy (Fred) George; grandchildren, Jessica (Tim), Robert, Elisa, Chris, Derrick, and Darren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy (Wayne) Drum and Phyllis Osterloh; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Visitation will be held 3-7pm Tuesday, February 17, 2015 and 12-1pm Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. Columbus, Ohio where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1pm; interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery; Mark Dettmer, celebrant.
