Virginia Mae Riggs, age 81 of Columbus, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013. Virginia was born and raised in Dexter, Ohio, daughter of the late Samuel and Rebecca McKinney. Also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Warren Riggs. Virginia was a very dynamic and joyful woman who was a ray of sunshine. She worked as a secretary and retired from State Farm Insurance, Harold F. Castor Agency. In her early years, Virginia was very active with Eastern Star and was a dedicated member of the United Church of Christ. She valued her family and cherished the relationships she shared with them, especially with her loving grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her loving son, G. Randall Durnell; granddaughters, Olivia Tate and Arianna Blair Durnell; sister, Janet (Roger) Mowery; and other extended family members and dear friends.
