Virginia “Gini” Geneva (Schneider) Ward, age 90, of Columbus, died Sunday, January 1, 2012 at home. She was born and raised in Cambridge, OH. She worked briefly for the Pure Oil Company. Gini was active in several Columbus based charitable organizations. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and William; son, Richard “Rick” T. Ward, Jr.; and granddaughter, Kristin M. Chambers. Gini is survived by daughters, Jan Ward (Bob) Chambers, Shelley Ward (Sam) Beck; grandchildren, Richard W. “Rick” (Emma) Chambers, Jennifer Ward Chambers; great grandchildren, Simon Dollinger, and Nina and Stella Chambers; grand son-in-law, Jeffrey Dollinger. She took great pride in her loving family and was a true and caring friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. In Gini’s memory, please do something nice for someone.
