

Virginia Claire (Henderson) Wheeler, 88, much loved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away in Columbus, Ohio on March 6, 2016 of natural causes. "Ginny" was born to the late Thomas and Johanna Henderson January 26, 1928 in New York City where she was raised and enjoyed a career dancing at the Roxy Theatre. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Henderson, Jr. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, Robert Burns Wheeler, Jr. Virginia and Bob spent most of their married life in Cincinnati, Ohio where they raised their three daughters, Ellen Hargrave (Bob), Robin Conway (Dan) and Carol Wheeler. As well as being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and "Chef Extraordinaire", she also was a member of the Finneytown Jr. Women's Club and taught private tap dancing lessons. Virginia is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Ginny had a quick wit and engaging personality and was much adored by all who knew her.
