Walter Deane Campbell

Walter D. Campbell, age 84, of Galloway, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. He was born in Meigs County, Ohio on February 14, 1930 to the late John B. and Serena Campbell. Walter was a very active member of Alkire Road Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon. He was also a bible teacher and filled in as a guest minister at various congregations throughout Ohio. Walter was a charter board member at Willowbrook Christian Home. He worked at Westinghouse for 27 years and retired from Rockwell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, John Campbell. Walter is survived by his wife of 63 years, Thelma Lenora Campbell; children, Darlene Campbell, Dean (Dana) Campbell, and Diane (Robin) Weier; grandchildren, Michael Campbell and Lauren Leggans; great granddaughter, Olivia Leggans; siblings, Mildred Dotson, Mary Buehl, Howard (Kitty) Campbell, and Harold (Shirley) Campbell; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 3:00PM-6:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 11:00am at Alkire Road Church of Christ, 2779 Alkire Road, Grove City, Ohio. Minister, Robin Weier officiating.
