

Walter Lee McMillen, a cherished and kind-hearted individual, passed away on December 21, 2025 at the age of 89. He was born on February 26, 1936 at Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and was a lifelong resident in Columbus.
Walter was known for his love of classic cars and enjoyed attending car shows, where he shared his passion with fellow enthusiasts. He loved to restore and rebuild custom cars and street rods. He spent his entire life involved with cars in one way or another. He owned the Triumph Motorcycle dealership on the westside and retired from General Motors. He was a hard worker who loved what he did. Walter or “Walt” as he known to most of friends, was always ready to share his knowledge or advice if asked. After completing his 1941 chevy street rod, he spent several years attending car shows both locally and out of town where he made many friends. He was a good man and great friend.
Walt is proceeded in death by his parents, Harry and Thelma McMillen and brother David of Amanda, Ohio. He leaves his sons Brad (Carmen) McMillen of Columbus, Ohio and Walter (JR) McMillen of Oakland Park, Florida. Also surviving is his best friend and significant other of 39 years Sandy Springsteen.
Visitation will be held at the Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services by Schoedinger - Hilltop Chapel at 3030 W Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43204 on Friday January 2, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm.
