Walter Marion Myers

Walter served in the US Navy, carrying forward a steady loyalty and hard-working spirit that shaped the way he met responsibility and cared for those around him. In the years that followed, those who knew him best came to cherish the constancy of his presence and the quiet strength he brought to everyday life.

Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Delilah Myers, his daughter Pamela L. Reed and great grandson Jeremia Gibson. He is survived by his grandsons who enjoyed sharing a home with Christopher and Christian Reed; his children, Lora (Darryl) Gibson, Lisa (David) Polson, and James (Deborah) Reed; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; siblings, Jim, Jean, and Doug; and his sister-in-law, Barbara Schmalenberger.

He was a member of the H.O.G. of central ohio and loved to ride his harley. He also took great joy in watching his grandkids sporting events—showing up with the kind of faithful support that families remember, and that becomes part of what it means to be truly cherished.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 17, 2026 from 5PM to 7PM at the Advantage by Schoedinger - Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43204. Walter's funeral service will be held on Thursday June 18, 2026 at 10:30AM with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery in Galloway, Ohio.
