Walter L. Pierce

Walter Pierce, loving partner, dad and poppie, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 7, 2011 at the age of 64. Walter is survived by his loving wife and partner, Robin Pierce. He was the proud father of Melissa (Robbie) Payne, Brian (Shellye) Pierce and Timmy Pierce and adored his beautiful little granddaughters, Kambrey Leean Pierce and Jayden Ara Pierce. He was also eagerly anticipating the arrival of a new grandbaby. Also survived by brothers, George (Linda) Pierce and Rich (Kathy) Pierce; sister, Carol (Jim) Legg and sister-in-law, Lorraine Pierce. His brothers, Dale Pierce and Johnny Wise preceded him in death. Walter attended Central College Presbyterian Church. He was a very hard working man who overcame many challenges in his lifetime. He will be remembered by his family as a brave and gentle hero. Family will receive friends 5-8pm Friday, February 11, 2011 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 where a funeral service celebrating his life will be held Saturday at 11am; Dr. Richard Ellsworth, officiating; interment Mifflin Twp. Cemetery.
