Here we are years later. I find myself at a crossroad in life. More than once I have found myself wondering just what Walter would tell me that I ought to do. I sure miss him. To this day, I use the shortcuts he showed me on his last ride-along to get around town.

I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my deepest sympathy.  May you find comfort from your memories, as well as the comfort found in God’s word the bible. Romans 5:12 says, 
"That is why, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned."  How loving of God to promise what is found at Revelation 21:4 which says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

I first met Walter 37 years ago as a very young officer on 6 pct. He quickly became my friend and mentor. Many times i went to Walt for his saged and seasoned advice. At that time I thought he knew the city and state codes as well as any prosecutor. I will always remember Walt for his honesty , attention to detail and love for his family.---- REST IN PEACE BROTHER

I worked over twenty years with Walt. He arrived to work with a positive spirit that was catching to the rest of his fellow workers. We went on many calls-for-service together, and I was witness to his compassion for mankind. He was always courageous in every situation and had a calming effect during chaotic moments.Walter is one of the few people, who walked with God each day of his life.

We are soo sorry for your loss.  He is and will be missed.  He was very special and always made everyone he came in contact with at church feel welcome.  Walter always had a smile to share.  I will continue to pray for your family.  May God grant you peace and comfort and may you feel His presence through this difficult time.  Love you Deanna!  Kevin and Joy

We will miss Walter very much. He was salways kind to all of us and always welcomed us whenever we came over to visit (like at Christmas time). All of the kids were very fond of their Uncle Walter. He's in a better place now just like Steve is. May god comfort you for your loss, I know he's still comforting me when I loss Steve even though I still can't cope with the fact that he's not here, but like with Walter, he will always be in our hearts. Walter and Deanna originally came to me for retirement planning.  He was very thorough about checking all the different concerns for he and Deanna. It was an honor to know him and believe he's now with God. He was a gentle soul and caring and loving father and husband. Peace and Joy for eternity Walter!

One of my first assignments on the police department was 6 pct. B company which is we're I first met Walt.  Having been on the Dept. about a year longer than me I looked up to him as a seasoned veteran.  Rather than bother the Sgt. I often went to Walt for advise.  He was always more than happy to help me and many a time stopped me from  making the wrong decisions.  Walt was truly a great officer.  He will be missed.  RIP my friend.
