Wanda K. Griffin

Wanda K. Griffin, age 94, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Westminster-Thurber Retirement Community. She was born January 7, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Karol and Theophila Kantorowicz. Wanda was preceded in death by a son, Michael D. Griffin; a daughter Patricia G. Kiewit and brother Ted Kantorowicz. She is survived by her daughter, Elisabeth G. Weadock, Upper Arlington; sons, Tony Griffin, Dallas, TX and Rob Griffin, Upper Arlington and daughter-in-law, Becky Griffin, of Gaithersburg, MD; grandchildren, Matt (Michele) Kiewit, Robyn (Tim) Scholl, Erin Nemeth, Chris (Katie) Griffin, Andrew (Erin) Griffin, Laura Griffin and Justin (Lisa) Griffin; and seven great grandchildren. She was a graduate of the University of Chicago with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Her family was very important to her and she will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 at Union Cemetery Mausoleum, 3349 Olentangy River Road, where interment will follow.
