He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Felicia Sherwood Bousquet, and his children; Scott Bousquet (Daphne) of Atlanta, GA, Laura Wallace (Jeff) of Malabar, FL, Jill Elliott (Preston) of Bexley, OH and Lynn Bousquet of Portland, OR. He was also the adored grandfather to Brant and Ceres Bousquet, and Grace and Jack Elliott.
Also survived by sister Lynn C. Swanson and nephew Warren J. Swanson both of Glenwood Springs, CO, brother-in-law Tom Riordan of Boston, MA, and sister-in-law Rosa Bousquet of Shelton, CT.
Warren is preceded in death by his father Lionel Raymond Bousquet, mother Linnea Carlson Bousquet, sister Gail P. Riordan, brother Craig J. Bousquet, and brother-in-law Stanley E. Swanson.
The eldest of 4 children, Warren was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on January 9, 1939. He lived there his entire childhood and graduated from Bullard Havens Technical High School in 1957. Following graduation, he attended State Tech of Hartford before accepting a position at Hubbell, Inc.
Hearing the call of duty, in 1959 he enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Verdun, France. While serving, he traveled extensively throughout Europe and documented his travels through the hundreds of photographs he took. Upon returning from active duty, he continued to serve in the Army Reserves and resumed his career at Hubbell where he met and fell in love with his wife Felicia. They were married on October 13, 1962 at St. Ambrose Church in Bridgeport, CT.
From there he began a long and distinguished 46-year career with Hubbell where he held several key positions ranging from Research Lab Engineer, District Sales Manager and Senior Territory Manager. As his career progressed, he and his family were taken to Los Angeles, CA, Fairfield, CT, Chicago, IL and ultimately the Cincinnati, OH area in 1976. Perhaps his passion for Hubbell and the electrical industry was best summed up at his retirement dinner by Hubbell executives who called Warren the "best sales representative the company has ever had".
After his retirement in 2005, he spent the years travelling the world with his wife while enjoying being an integral part of his children's and grandchildren's lives. In 2012 he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and in 2016 he and Felicia moved to Bexley, OH to be closer to family.
Warren was a dedicated, kind, gentle, selfless individual who constantly put others first and always offered to help those in need. He was a lover of history, war movies, music, gadgets and all things mechanical and technical. He was tirelessly inquisitive and a lifelong learner. However, above all, family was the center of his life. His dedication to his wife and his four children was unparalleled. His unconditional love is a great example for us all.
Private services to take place in Columbus and a committal service will take place at a later date at Brookside Cemetery, West Chester, Ohio.
The family would like to offer special thanks to the Bickford of Bexley where he was lovingly cared for by the dedicated staff of nurses and aides. During his final days, he was tended to by the compassionate nurses and caregivers of Kindred Hospice for whom the family is grateful.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research www.michaeljfox.org.
