

Warren H. Wagner, a longtime resident of Worthington Hills, died December 1, 2015 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, January 22, 1924, he was a son of the late Harry A. and Louise Schenk Wagner. After World War II service as a machinist in Pearl Harbor, he joined the Van Dyke-Churchill Company as a machine tool salesman. He then joined Farm Bureau Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, the predecessor of Nationwide Insurance where he held progressively more senior managerial positions in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Ohio including serving as vice president of the training center and he held several regional vice presidential positions.
His interests included travel throughout the US and abroad and photography, was an active volunteer at nursing homes and was a mentor with the Service Corps of Retired Executives. Warren is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Geraldine "Gerry", and his son, Harry. He is survived by daughters, Susan (Frank) Salinger of Miami Beach, FL, Patti Parker of Dublin, OH; his sons, Richard (Kate) Wagner of Lewisberry, PA, Gregg (Jill) Wagner of Cranberry, PA; and five grandchildren, Aimee (Mark) Zimmerman, Nick Parker, Brock Wagner, Kurt Wagner and Morgan Wagner. Family will receive friends Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL 6699 N. High St. Worthington, OH 43085. A funeral service will be held 11 A.M. Monday, December 7, 2015 at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery Chapel 9571 N. High St. Lewis Center, OH 43035. Father Mark Summers will officiate.
