Wayne Rutherford

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date for Wayne Alexander “Bud” Rutherford, age 54 of Newark. Mr. Rutherford was born in Newark on August 22, 1955 to the late Wayne Allen and Margorie Sue (Anderson) Rutherford. He died Monday April 19, 2010 at the Selma Markowitz Center surrounded by his family.

A veteran of the US Army, member of the Newark High Class of ’73, and was a dispatcher for Yellow Cab in Newark for many years. He loved to sing and draw, and loved his family very much.

Wayne is preceded in death by his sons Daniel Wayne and Wayne Allen II, uncle Tom Anderson and nephew George Allen Jolley. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mary (Johnson), daughters Danielle VanNess, Tonya (Tim) Gordon, Sissy Sue (Jason) Rutherford, Jacquline Rutherford, sons Jean-Robert Rutherford, and Zach Rutherford. Grandchildren Kayla Danielle Gordon, Brenden Gordon, Cameron Gordon, Jaden Davis, Jason Davis, Jacob Davis, Jaye Davis, Jordyn Davis, and Kyler Oliver. Sister Trudy (George) Jolley, nephews Bobby and David Jolley, and waiting for him in heaven is his faithful dog DJ.
