

Wilbur W. Flowers, age 81, of South Shore, KY, formerly of Columbus, OH passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011, rejoining his first wife, Esther, on the date of their wedding anniversary. He was born November 2, 1929 in New Lexington, OH to the late William and Grace Flowers. He served proudly in the U.S. Air Force, Army and Merchant Marines. Wilbur retired in 1988 from Conrail Railroad where he had worked for 36 years. He was a former member of Amity Rd. EC Church and the VFW. Wilbur had 2 brothers, Marvin (Janet) and Jerry (Peggy) Flowers and 5 sisters, Wanda Ferrick, Evelyn McKinney, Carolyn (Bill) Wilson, Christine Conrad and Diann (Nick) Mogavero. He also leaves behind his wife, Tina; children, Wayne (Peggy) Flowers, Greg Flowers, Debbie Flowers, Cindy (Bill) Weiss, and Jared, Nathan and Brady Flowers still at home; He was the proud grandpa of Scott, Brandy, Chrissy, Tim, James, Craig, Mandy, Justin, Kirk, Shannon, Miguel, Ashley, Kayla and Gina and 7 great-grandchildren; also many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends 5-8pm Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W.
