Wilda Louise Vest

Wilda Louise Sumpter McGinnis Vest, age 77 of Pataskala, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015. Wilda was born and raised in Inez, KY. She was the daughter of the late Milton and Stella Sumpter. Also preceded in death by her husbands: Thomas McGinnis and George Vest, brothers: James "Red" Blackburn, Jack and Robert Sumpter, step-daughter, Jill Vest, and beloved companion, Fritz. Wilda was the Founder and President of Mid-Ohio Recovery Services, Inc. She was a classy, independent, and outgoing woman who remained active throughout her life. Wilda was an avid golfer who won the President's Cup at Harbor Hills Country Club. In addition, she enjoyed gardening, retail therapy, and liked anything that sparkled. More than anything, Wilda enjoyed spending time with her family and treasured the memories from her family trip to Disneyworld, where four generations were represented. Her beautiful blue eyes and contagious smile will never be forgotten by all those who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed by her loving daughter, Yolanda "Loni" (Scott) Kincaid; grandchildren: Shane McGinnis, Jacqulyn "Nikki" (Ryan) Athey, and Tia Smith; great grandchildren: Madelyn and Mason Athey and Isabella McGinnis; brother, Lee (Ella Rose) Sumpter; sister, Gennie Brobst; step-children: Jodi (David) Jaynes and Bill (Roni) Vest; numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until time of service.
