

Willard Frank Hamilton, 90 of Columbus, died Tuesday, October 30. 2012. He was born September 17, 1922 in Columbus to the late Frank Hamilton and Bertha Hamilton White. He was a graduate of South High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Forces serving during WWII in the Asian Theatre. He was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ and the Southgate Masonic Lodge. He retired as a letter carrier from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, watching sports and working on cars. He was a loving and caring father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, grandson Christopher Morris, siblings Isabel (Franklin) Dunkle, Marguerite (Allan) Biegler, brother-in-law Harley Port and sisters-in-law Regina Port and Roberta Edington. He is survived by childen Barbara (Dick) Morris, Shirley (Suzie) Hamilton and Frank (Tonya) Hamilton, grandchildren Scott (Julie), Timothy (Sarah), Lindsey (Ross), Katie (Richard), Aubrey (Jonathan), Carly, and Tanner, great grandchild Andrew Morris, brothers-in-law Ralph (Betty) Hughes, Darwin (Margie) Port and Alva (Elsie) Port, sister-in-law Jessie Port, many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Friday from 4-7 PM at SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL, 229 E. State St. where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 AM. Entombment in Kingwood Memorial Park.
