

He was born, August 31, 1926 to the late, Leone (Carpenter) Zarley and Harvey Martin Zarley, in Amesville, Ohio. Willard graduated from New Albany High School in 1944. He married Patricia Lou Kent in 1944. Willard was a WW II Pilot and flew the P-51 D. He was an Airplane Flight Chief, Airplane Crew Chief, and Airplane Engine Mechanic. After an Honorable Discharge, he worked for DCSC as an IT Engineer Programmer. He and Patty were owners of a small agricultural business, Zarley's Berry Patch. He was one of the founders of the New Albany Historical Society and member of New Albany Presbyterian Church.
Willard is survived by his three children and spouses: daughter, Pam Snyder, husband, Ron of Circleville, Ohio; son, Steve Zarley, wife, Cindy of Bettendorf, Iowa; son, Mark Zarley, wife, Karen of New Albany, Ohio; nine grandchildren, their spouses, sixteen great-grandchildren and niece's family.

Funeral Service will be held at 3pm, Thursday, September 22, 2016 at New Albany Presbyterian Church, 5220 Johnstown Road, New Albany 43054. Pastor David Milroy officiating. Interment at Maplewood Cemetery 4585 Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road, New Albany, OH.
