William K. Black, 89, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at home. He was born on August 3, 1926 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Harry and Verona (Thieman) Black. Bill proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII and for many years after in both active and reserve duty. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association, the VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (Stuart) Black; daughter, Stacey (JD) Black; son, Brian (Kimberly) Black; grandchildren, Kenneth Bryan, Jessica Bryan, Brandon Black, and Brett Black. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8pm Tuesday at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will be held at 11:30 am Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
