

William M. Cahill age 88, passed away peacefully August 14, 2016. Worked for the City of Columbus, Code Enforcement Section, Former Franklin County Recorder, Franklin County Sheriff Department, State of Ohio, Director of Research and Statistics, Bureau of Workers Compensation (retired), past Treasurer of the Franklin County Democratic Party. Served in the United States Navy 1946-1948 aboard the USS Montrose and the USS Vandenberg, Member of the American Legion Pashall Post 164, Member of the Franklin County Sherriff Association, Graduate of Aquinas High School. Preceded in death by parents James and Gertrude Cahill, brothers James and Joseph Cahill. Survived by wife of 68 years Florence Cahill, sons Steven (Debbie), Jeffrey (Stacy), and William J. (Maureen) Cahill, Seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Wednesday August 17, 2016 from 4-7pm at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123, prayer service will be held on Thursday August 18, 2016 at 12:30 pm. Private burial for family members only at New Grove City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in William's name to the Holy Family Food Pantry, 588 W.
