

William Harry Fletcher, age 90, died Thursday, August 29, 2013. He was born December 20, 1922 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harry and Exie (Moulton) Fletcher. He was a 1940 graduate of North High School and was a 50 year member of New England Lodge #4 FandAM and Past Patron of Worthington Chapter #287 O.E.S. Bill retired from the Ohio Insurance Institute and was a faithful member of the Old North High Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandsons. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, of 53 years, Wilma "Jean"; brother, John Fletcher; sister, Jean Farr; and great-grandson, Ethan Thomas Hurford. Bill is survived by his daughter, Barbara (Robert) Hurford; grandchildren, Amy (Wesley) Pennington, Jeffrey (Christianna) Hurford and Joseph Hurford; brothers, Edward (Pat) Fletcher and Thomas (Chlois) Fletcher; sister, Virginia (George) Nunemacher; great-grandsons, Morgan and Mason Pennington; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. Columbus, Ohio with funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor William Abernathy Sr. officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital in his memory.
