William "Tom" Harvey

William Thomas Harvey, Jr., age 69, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 14, 2012. Tom was born January 9, 1943 in East Liverpool, Ohio. He was a member of the first graduating class of Heath High School and retired from Newark Air Force Base. He was a member of the Licking Valley Church of Christ. Tom was very well liked and a friend to everybody. He enjoyed bicycling, fly fishing, reading, photography and anything having to do with airplanes. He was happy spending a day at Mid-Ohio Raceway or escaping to Lake Erie for a quiet weekend. He is survived by his mother, Jane Hamer; father, William Harvey, Sr.; children, Christie (Todd) Montgomery, Gregory (Bethany) Harvey and Susan (Bill) Tudor; grandchildren, Russell, Jeremy (Elizabeth), Jessica and Kaitlynn Montgomery, Zoey, Allison and Patrick Harvey, Joanna, Cody and Samantha Tudor; great-grandchild, Ava; sister, Janelle (Jack) Clark and niece, Sunnee (Curt) Dennis; step-brother, Gary (Sara) Hamer and many good friends; Preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Harvey; stepfather, Glenn Hamer and stepmother, Charlotte Harvey. In accordance with Tom’s wishes, his body has been donated to The Ohio State University, School of Anatomy. Private family services will be held at a later date.
