William W. Hudson

William W. "Bill" Hudson or "Hap" to his grandchildren, age 83, died Monday, September 11, 2017. He was born July 18, 1934 in Lima, Ohio, to the late W. Fred and Doris K. Hudson and is also preceded in death by his brother, David L. Hudson; and brother-in-law, Terry Dawson. Bill is survived by his wife of 45 years, Penny Hudson; and was a devoted father and grandfather to his daughters, Tamara (Craig) Schlieman, Cary (Mat) Porter, and Nikki (Joe) Wozniak; grandchildren, Jason (Hailey) White, Renee Tetreault, Evan Porter, Ethan Porter, Chloe Wozniak, and Fletcher Wozniak; and great-grandson, Rhys Chenevert. Bill graduated from Ohio University and was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. Bill was a retired Mechanical Engineer and he will be remembered with love by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2017 at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL 5360 E. Livingston Avenue where family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service from 4 - 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation 2800 Corporate Exchange Drive, Columbus, OH 43231.
