

He joins his wife, Gerri; sons Jimmy and Joe; and daughter Katie. He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter Jane.
A veteran of the United States Army, he served during the Korean Conflict. Bill retired from AT&T (Ohio Bell) in 1990 after 34 years of dedicated service. He was a devoted member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, was an “Adopted Grandparent’’, and was part of the Heritage Group.
Bill was very active within many organizations: the St. Vincent DePaul Society where he was president for many years; an executive board member for the St. Joseph Home for Women; member of Cum Christo; Knights of Columbus, St. Anthony Council; Meals on Wheels, distributed communion at St. Ann’s Hospital. His heart for giving and doing for others will be deeply missed by all who served with him.
In recognition of his outstanding service, Bill was a Top Hat award winner for SVDP, a Star Award for Social Service and a Young at Heart Runner Up.
His family will receive friends on Friday from 4-7pm, at SCHOEDINGER NORTH, 5554 Karl Rd. Additional visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1300 Urban Drive, on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 10am -12Noon where Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12 Noon. Father Thomas Petry, Celebrant. Private interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In his memory, a memorial contribution may be made to the St. Anthony Catholic Church.
