

William Thomas (Tom) Kulas, age 68, of Columbus died Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born March 31, 1951 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, son of the late Louis H. and Ella (Shaner) Kulas. He was a 1971 graduate of Bishop Hartley High School, and was a lifetime supporter of the Hartley Hawks. Tom retired from Shaffer Distributing after 27 years and Discover Financial Services following 12 years of service. He was a devoted husband, father, brother and uncle, who will be deeply missed by his wife of 34 years, Robin Miller Kulas; his son, Eric A. Kulas; brother, David A. Kulas; niece, Emily E. Kulas; father-in-law, Robert Miller; sisters-in-law, Karen (Jim) Crum and their children, Rachel Horn and Jarod Crum, and Joanne Miller; other relatives and many friends. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mabel Shaner and mother-in-law, Norma Miller. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University and was an avid Buckeye fan. Tom was a longtime member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. He was a collector of coins, baseball cards and enjoyed spending time with family rooting on the Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and all the sports teams of the Hartley Hawks. Friends may call 5-8 pm Monday, November 25, 2019 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232, where a prayer service will be held 7:30 pm Monday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 1573 Elaine Road, Columbus with Fr. William Arnold Celebrant.
