He was born in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Hamilton and Jeanette (Stokes) Peyton. William retired from the U.S. Postal Service after more than 33 years of service and receiving many awards of outstanding performance. He will be dearly missed by his six children, Neal (Vy) Peyton, Tony (Donna) Peyton, Van (Sue) Peyton, Juilee (Ronnie) Clark, Monique (Kurt) Menke, and Kimberly Macioce; his grandchildren, Monique and Neal Peyton, Nikko and Marco (Katie) Macioce, Kennedy Clark; and great grandchildren; nieces, Sherald Peyton Suzette (Mike) Dave; additional nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Peggy Peyton; brother, Hamilton Neal Peyton and grandson, Neal Corpuz. William is a Veteran U.S Air Force Korean Conflict. In his younger days, he loved taking Sunday drives with the love of his life Peggy, photography and building and flying model airplanes. He also enjoyed being an “amateur engineer” and a Mr. Fix-it, designing gadgets and drawing projects for his homes and his children’s homes. Private inurnment with U.S.A.F. Honors at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends 2-4 pm Friday, September 15, 2023 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43232.
