

William Earl Rush died peacefully September 18, 2010 at the age of 89. William is survived by wife Mary of The Laurels of Norworth in Worthington, sister Patricia of Wilmington, Delaware, daughter Mimi (Sam) of Longwood, Florida, son Bill (Karin) of Stillwater, Minnesota, grandchildren Trevis (Melissa), Matthew (Elizabeth), Sarah (Andrew), Brian, Meredith, Lyndsay, Emily and Jonathan and great-grandchildren Skylar, Alexa and Landon.
Bill was born February 20, 1921 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to William and Helen Rush. He attended Iowa State University and was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He served in the United States Military as an army airforce weather forecaster in World War II. He spent most of his professional career as a sales engineer for E. F. Hauserman Company.
Bill had many hobbies including gardening (especially growing roses), history, cooking and playing golf .
A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at SHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL 6699 N. High Street on Saturday, September 25 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
