
Bill was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 29, 1928 to the late Frank and Susan (Kovalak) Savel. Bill grew up in the Cleveland area and graduated from John Marshall High School class of ’47. Bill proudly served in the United States Army while fighting for his country during the Korean War. After he returned from Korea he reacquainted himself with a friend from High School, Miss Ada Strom. On November 29, 1958 he had the priveledge of taking Ada’s hand and making her the love of his life, for 52 years they celebrated their marriage until his passing.
In 1957 Bill became an electrician with the Chrysler Corp. and stayed with them until his retirement 33 years later. Bill was an avid gun collector and gardener, but he got most of his enjoyment from spending time with his family and fixing things up around the house. As said by his family “ we never hired a repairman to fix anything, he have dad.” Family gatherings and trips in the camper were highlights especially when he could take the dogs. Bill touched many lives over the years and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Bill’s survivors include his wife Ada of Chagrin Falls; Children, James Seaman of New York, Mark Seaman of Streetboro, Sandy (David) Shepard of Georgia, and Marta (Hal) Fish of Hilliard; Grand children, Danielle Montis of Florida, Angela Seaman of Chagrin Falls. Bill is also survived by his sister, Shirley Urbanek, and brother, Frank (Gerry)Savel, and many other loving relatives and friends.
A celebration of life Memorial service for Bill will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 11:00am at the Valley Lutheran Church, 87 East Orange St., Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44022, with Pastor Daniel Esala officiating. Interment Private.
