William Sherman

William B. "Bill" Sherman, 63, passed away after a life well-lived on December 4, 2021. Bill was born on December 8, 1957 in Columbus, son of John F. and Norma J. Sherman. Bill graduated in 1980 from Northeast School (FCBDD) as valedictorian of his class. After graduation, Bill worked for ARC Industries, East, enjoying his role as a manufacturer. In free time, Bill loved being active. One of his favorite activities was square dancing as part of the Franklin County Swingers group. Bill was also a Special Olympian, participating in track events over many years. He will be remembered for his love of all animals, as a real-life "Dr. Dolittle." He will be greatly missed by all who had the joy of knowing him.

Bill is preceded in death by his mother, Norma Jean (Bisutti) Sherman. Left to cherish his memory are his father, John F. Sherman; his brothers John (Lois), Bob (Kathy), and Dan (Andrea); his nieces Kelly, Hannah, and Libby; and his nephews Jason and David.

Family will welcome guests on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna from 4pm-7pm. A mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday morning, December 10, at 10:30am at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Road in Gahanna. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
