William Charles Slogeris Sr.

Born March 3, 1940, in Waterbury Connecticut to Eva and Stanley Slogeris, Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He enjoyed a long career at General Motors. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunting was his passion. In his retirement, though he never practiced taxidermy, he was very active in the Michigan Taxidermy Association alongside Robert, where he was recently presented with the prestigious Above and Beyond Award for his hard work. He also loved to make model engines and could tinker with them for hours. A recent pastime of his was creating things with his 3-D printer. He was always creating something on that printer.

Bill is survived by his wife Sandy, his children: William Slogeris Jr. (Linda), Sandi Coughlin (Frank), Janice Skurkis (Rick), Robert Slogeris, Brenda Gayle (Marty), Mark Fate (Jill), Scott Fate (Tracey), Michelle Crownover (Brandon), Troy Fate (Denise) and Shannon Biery (Darren).

His many grandchildren: Becky (Teddy), Ben, Shanen (Perez), Thomas (Tiffany), Russell (Amanda), Kevin, Michael (Savanna), Samantha, Michael (Jessie), Suzzie (Cody), Heidi, Justin, Jenna, Jared, Spencer, Alyssa, Madison, Taylor, Bailee, Makena, Peyton, Logan, Ava, Caleb, Autumn, Lincoln, Myla and Gavin. His great-grandchildren: Lily, Aubrey, Lorrance, Zehtalynne, Kyleigh, Thomas James, William, Aurora, Meika, Samantha, Claira, Cole and Damien, two sisters Elaine Schreier and Lois Marti and God-daughter Renee Yeardley.

Bill was preceded in death by his late wife Lorraine Slogeris, Sandra Slogeris, Stanley Slogeris, Mike Fate and Robin Scott.

He will be laid to rest on August 14, 2025 at 12:30 PM at:

Christian Memorial Gardens West 521 E. Hamlin Road, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48307.
