

William "Bill" Lemoine Wilson, age 94, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Bill was the son of Jesse and Virginia Wilson. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, a service he cherished throughout his life. Bill dedicated 33 years of service to Crestview Cadillac, where he worked as a skilled mechanic and service technician before retiring. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association and the National Gem & Mineral Society of Licking County. An outdoorsman at heart, Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was skilled at boxing. He never passed up a good cup of coffee and dearly loved his dogs. Known by many as a true "rock hound," Bill had a passion for collecting minerals and gemstones and found great joy in creating beautiful handcrafted jewelry. Bill will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love of family, devotion to his country, and the many friendships he made throughout his long and meaningful life. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dolores; sons, Steven Wilson and Regina (Lawrence) Wilson-Peck; siblings, Beverly, Donna and Bobby. Survived by his grandchildren, Alicia (Henry) Crenshaw and Kristen (Christopher) Ford; great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Charles; sister, Joyce; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204 where the funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
