Wilma Faye Humphrey, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2011. She was born in Dayton to the late Estill and Eula Mae Hinton. Her home was what she believed was a “filling station” for the body, mind and especially the spirit. She always proclaimed that when anyone entered her home they would not leave the same as they were when they entered. She received many things “in the spirit by the spirit.” Maybe the last thing she received was the song “Come and dine with me….” We believe she did just that very peacefully in the early morning hours of Wednesday, 11/9/11 in her favorite chair where she always sat and prayed. All of us left to remember her know she is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and we have comfort in knowing we now have her as a powerful intercessor with God for our needs and His grace to soften our grief. Wilma’s accomplishments in counseling, instruction, and encouragement in the understanding and importance and acceptance of the Word of God are too many to properly recognize. However, two of them were her graduation from Logos Bible College at the Word of Life Church. Later she and her close friend established Right Arm Ministries (R.A.M.). Finally, after her passing, this friend said of her that Wilma had revelation and insight into praying more than anyone she has known. Over many years Wilma also had weekly prayer meetings in her home. She is preceded in death by her son, Mark Ewald; siblings, Jim Whitney, J.D. Whitney, Bonnie (Hank) Ledbetter, and Ray Whitney. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Joe; children, Starla Hughes, September Hickey, Bennett (Kim) Smith; stepchildren, David (Denise) Humphrey, Brian Humphrey, Lori Russell, and Michael (Wendy) Humphrey; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; sister, Carol Kinnison; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call from 11 am to 1 pm, Monday, November 14, 2011 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL1051 E. Johnstown RD. (at BEECHER RD) Gahanna, where the Funeral Service will be held immediately following the calling hours at 1:00 pm. Pastor John Taranto officiating. Interment at Mifflin Cemetery.
