Winifred Ruth Pierce, age 89, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was born on March 11, 1924 in Orrville, OH to the late Elmer and Alma (Sayre) Anderson. In addition to her parents, Winifred was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Pierce; sister, Bernice Ward; and step-father, Howard McDaniel. She is survived by her children, Larry (Linda) Pierce, Judy (Mike) Claar, and Jeff Pierce; grandchildren, Brian and James Claar and Emily and Chris Pierce. Family will receive friends 11 am to 1 pm Friday, November 29, 2013 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the family will share a few memories beginning at 1 pm.
