

Yvonne was born on February 19, 1923 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Fred and Melinda Lewis. A lifelong member of Thurman Methodist Church, she was active in the women’s sewing circles and held office at various times as the church secretary and treasurer. She was a long time Executive Secretary for the RWDSU. Yvonne was a talented knitter, crocheter, and sewer, creating afghans, prayer shawls, and quilts. Later in life Yvonne became an avid reader, enjoyed exercise 3 times a week, and weekly bingo games.
In addition to her parents, Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Orland Sells; her brother Herman Lewis; her sister Thelma Tilton; daughters, Carol Sells, Ellen Sells, and Wendy Sells; and grandson Rick Strive.
Yvonne’s sweet memory is survived by her daughters, Sarah (Warren) Weiler and Linda (JC) Givens; grandchildren, Maria Givens, Matthew Givens, Jenna Givens, Chris Strive, Lynne Jenkins, and David Strive; 6 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Cremation services were entrusted to Advantage by Schoedinger North.
