Angela Marie Sampogna

Angela Marie Sampogna of Suffern(formerly Congers), NY, 88 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 15, 2025. She is survived by her sister, Elaine Hartmann as well as her four children Robert(Teri), Lisa(James), Brian(Cynthia) and Heather(Lou) Saviano. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren (Robert, Anthony, Brittany, Jamie, John, Brian, Nicolas, Jade and Louis) and three great grandchildren (Luca, Finn and Levi). She was predeceased in death by her loving husband Robert in 2003.

She cherished her time spent in Sarasota, Florida, where she was an artisan and avid shell collector, and could be found walking on the beach at any time sharing her knowledge of the ocean and seashells. She loved to paint and was a phenomenal singer as well as voracious reader and loved her Kindle and all technology in the modern age. She prided herself on being modern and sharp witted to the very end.

Angela was born in Mount Vernon, NY to Elvira(Ciaffone) and Joseph Locuratolo on June 16, 1937. She attended Ardsley high school. Angela then married her High School sweet heart (Robert) in 1957. Angela was the ultimate grandma famous for spoiling and letting the kids do anything they wanted in pure enjoyment.

Visiting hours and viewing will be Sunday, September 21 from 3 PM to 7 PM at Higgins funeral home 113 Lake Rd East, Congers, NY

A funeral mass will be held at Saint Paul’s Parish Lake Road Congers NY on Monday, September 22 at 11:30 AM followed by a burial Gethsemane Cemetery Rockland Lake Congers NY 10920
