Blanche Helen Potratz of Congers, NY passed away on August 2, 2013 at the age of 92. Blanche was born in Manhattan, NY on February 20, 1921. She married Clifford Potratz on June 30, 1945. Blanche worked for the Clarkstown School System, Bamberger’s and Lederle Labs. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, learning about creation and gardening and writing letters. Once she became a Jehovah’s Witness the main focus in her life was assisting others in understanding the Bible’s message. She is survived by her children Gordon (Judy), Gilbert (Barbara), Diana, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and by her brother George Garcia.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 49 Broadway Haverstraw, NY 10920. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her honor to Jehovah’s Witnesses.
