Carol A. Hollander

She was 84 years old. Carol was born and raised in Queens NY and has since been a resident of Congers NY for the past 47 years. She proudly served the Clarkstown Central School district for many years. Starting as a school bus driver and then becoming dispatcher for 30 years. She was the beloved wife of Robert for 63 years prior to his passing in January 2024. Carol was the loving mother of Linda Willows (Richard), Donna Straub (Harold and Scott. She was a dotting grandmother to Richard Willows (Victoria), Thomas Straub (Valentino), Matthew Willows (Christine), and Diona Buettner (James). During her long life, she was fortunate enough to become an adoring great-grandmother to Harper Willows and Raegan Buettner. Carol was a loving sister to her brother Richard Cordes (Patricia).

In her free time Carol loved taking walks and doing jigsaw puzzles. Most of all she loved spending time at the beach with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A visiting for Carol will be held Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service, 113 Lake Rd. E., Congers, New York 10920. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 6, 2025 at 11:30 AM, 113 Lake Rd. E., Congers, New York 10920. A burial will occur Friday, June 6, 2025 at 12:45 PM at St. Anthony Cemetery, 36 West Nyack Rd., Nanuet, NY 10954.
