

Carol Booth McCallon was born on April 18, 1947, in Manhattan to the late William Lester and Eileen (nee’ Fitzgerald) Booth. Carol grew up in Queens, NY, graduated from St. John’s University with both a Bachelors and Masters degree. She worked as an accountant for many years, retiring from The Kamson Corporation of Englewood Cliffs, NJ in 2012.
Carol is survived by her son William, daughter Eileen (Stephen) both of New City, NY, and her loving grandchildren Sean, Brayden & Charlotte. She is also survived by her brother Kevin (BJ) Booth of Princeton, NJ as well as her nephews James and Brian of Los Angeles, CA. She leaves behind an entire network of loving family, friends and colleagues including the Hamilton clan of Manhattan, NY and the Tuzil family of Hampton Bays, NY.
She is predeceased by brothers Thomas and Lester Booth, husband Bruce and grandson John Thomas Doyle.
Carol met Bruce in 1974 and they were married in 1976 where they briefly resided in Westchester County, NY and finally settling in New City, NY in 1981 where they raised their children. During their 33 years of marriage, they created a lifetime of memories with their children as well as many families, friends and neighbors.
Carol leaves behind a legacy of her love for reading, her senior’s group, knitting, gardening, church activities and spending time with her cherished family. Carol also enjoyed traveling with her beloved husband prior to his passing. She will be mostly remembered for being a devoted mother and an amazing grandmother.
The family will receive visitors on Monday 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home 113 Congers Lake Road East Congers, NY. A Catholic Mass will be held on Tuesday, 10:00 am, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, West Nyack.
