Cheryl Hopkins

Cheryl Hopkins, formerly of Rockland County and a Resident of Cary, NC passed away November 8, 2011. Cheryl received her BA from St. Thomas Aquinas College Sparkill, NY and her MSW from Fordham University Rockville Center, NY. She married Daniel Hopkins September 1979 at Grace Episcopal Church Nyack, NY. Cheryl was employed as a Pre-School Teacher and enjoyed Arts and Crafts. She will be remembered as a devoted Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister and Aunt who's greatest joy came from her family and teaching and caring for children.

Cheryl is survived by her parents, Ernest and Barbara Georgi of Fla., her husband, Daniel Hopkins of NC, her daughter, Taralyn Hopkins of NC, her brother, Scott Georgi of Fla., her sister, Terilyn Novak of Fla., her niece and nephew, Angelique and Travis Novak of Fla., her stepbrother, Sandy Purcell of London, her stepsister, Cheryn Purcell of Miami.

Family will receive friends Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Higgins Funeral Home, 321 South Main Street, New City, NY 10956. A Funeral Service will be held Monday with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery Rockland Lake, NY.
