I remember Uncle David as a kid, 60+ years ago. He drove for the Red and Tan Lines. At night, when he got home, he would be wearing his coin change belt. He would ask me how much money I wanted. Then, he would push the “magic buttons” on his machine and give me what I asked for. He had a wonderful way of making people feel great.

I also remember the time he took me to the Red and Tan lines garage. He had me sit in the driver’s seat of the bus and told me to push the gas pedal. I did, and the mechanic who was working on the bus, shot out from the under carriage of the bus scared to death that the bus was leaving the garage. Uncle David and his buddy’s had a great laugh. He was a great uncle to me and so many others. I miss you Uncle David. Love, Dick Cassetti

David was a wonderful extra Dad, but more importantly to me, an incredible "Pop" to his grandchildren. I am forever grateful that my children have been truly blessed to have their Pop, Mimi, Grandpa, and Grandma for 20+ years. Enjoy that final 20th Century Limited ride along the Hudson to Heaven, Pop. St. Peter is rolling out your Red Carpet!

We will always remember Dave coming to our house with railroad stuff to sell and stories about where he got the item. Loved talking to him and having him visit - we will miss him.
RIP dear friend
