Diane Strong

Diane Strong, 88, of Congers, NY passed peacefully with her loving family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Glenn Strong who passed away in July of 2007. They were wed in Yonkers, NY on December 16, 1945. Mrs. Strong was born November 19, 1924 to the late Teresa and Vincent Colosimo, Yonkers, NY. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Colosimo, Congers, sister Emma Murphy, Congers and sister Annamarie Costanzo, Carmel, NY. Mrs. Strong is survived by her devoted children, Teresa Alison Strong of Central Valley, NY, Elizabeth Ann Murray and her husband Richard of Lincroft, NJ, Robert Addison Strong and his wife Linda Zimmermann of Chester, NY and Rosemary Ardyce Hall and her husband Jim of Monroe, NY. She will be missed dearly by her ten grandchildren Richard Murray, Sean Murray, Tara Gardiner, Lana Cook, Steven Beckley, Robert Beckley, Brian Beckley, Teresa Hall, JP Hall and Maria Hall and also great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a dear sister in law to her late husband Robert G. Strong’s family, residing in Missouri and Illinois. Mrs. Strong retired as secretary in the Guidance Department of the A. MacArthur Barr Middle School, Nanuet, NY. She was a member of Congers One Senior Club. Family will receive visitors on Friday, February 8th from 9-11am at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., Congers. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, February 8th at 11:30am at St. Paul’s Church.
