Donald Greeley

Donald M. Greeley of Congers, NY passed away on August 24, 2010 at the age of 78. Don was born on March 26, 1932 in Bronx N. Y. to Michael and Alice Greeley. He served on the aircraft carrier USS Tarawa during the Korean war and was honorably discharged. After his service in the US Navy he was employed by the New York City Fire department and retired in 1962. Donald is survived by his loving wife Norma of 51 years and four children and their spouses, Steven & Peggy Greeley, Robert Greeley Joan & Dean Brown and Diane Greeley, his sister Virginia Berkowitz, Brothers' in law, Sheldon Berkowitz and Frank Swanson, Sister in law Doris Maness, Grandson Christopher Greeley, three nieces' and three nephews, three grand nieces and 3 grand nephews. Arrangements will be held at Higgins Funeral Homes, 113 Lake Rd. Congers, NY. (845)-2686665 on Sunday, August 29th from 2 pm - 4pm and 7 pm - 9pm . Funeral mass will be held at St. Paul's Church in Congers on Monday, August 30 at 10:00 am. Following the mass, Donald will be laid to rest at Loescher Cemetery, Brick Church Rd. New Hempstead, NY 10977.
