Dorothy Morano

Dorothy Morano of Pomona, NY, passed away at Nyack Hospital on Saturday August 4, 2012, with her loving family by her side. Dorothy was born on September 17, 1930 to Grace and Jesse Alsdorf in West Haverstraw, NY. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Dorothy was predeceased by Joseph on June 15, 2012, her husband of 60 years. She is survived by her loving children Joseph and his wife Nancy, Sheryl Britney and her husband Joseph, Laura Marchese, Gail Weiss and her husband Todd, Martin and his wife Marcie, and Caryn Falesto and her husband Robert; her adoring grandchildren Nicholas and Peter Morano, Katie and Joseph Britney, Stephen Marchese, Todd and Juliann Weiss, Marty and Gabriella Morano, and Robby, Emma, and Allie Falesto. Family will receive friends on Wednesday August 8, 2012, from 2-4 & 7-9 at Higgins Funeral Home in Congers, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday August 9th, 9:45am, at St. Paul’s Church, Congers, NY followed by interment at Fred Loescher Veterans Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY.
