Ethel Taylor of Sparkill, New York formerly of Congers, died Saturday, December 9, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at age 78. Ethel was born on October 8, 1939 in the Yorkville section of New York, to the late Irene and John Kenney. On August 8, 1964 she married the love of her life, Eugene Taylor and moved to Congers, New York. Ethel’s greatest joy was spending time with her wonderful grandchildren Jimmy & Tara Monaghan and John, Terrence, and Eugene McCarthy. Ethel was devoted Mother to Irene (John) McCarthy and Jacqueline (Jim) Monaghan. Ethel was a Special Aunt to many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and god children. Ethel had the best times of her life celebrating many family occasions with all her family and friends.

Ethel is survived by her loving sister Irene Philbin of Vero Beach, FL and predeceased by her husband Eugene Taylor, her sisters Claire Feeney, Jacqueline Boyer, Agnes Tully, Barbara Keenan and brothers William and John Kenney.

Family and friends may call at MJ Higgins Funeral Home 113 Lake Rd East, Congers, NY 10920, from 2-4&7-9pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, 10am at St. Paul’s Church, in Congers, interment to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.

So very sorry for your loss of your dear mother Ethel. After she lost Gene she gave her life to her family. God be good to her.
