

Frances A. Cifuni, 67 years old, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 5th. She was born on February 26, 1954 in Astoria, Queens, NY. At a young age, she moved to Congers, NY, was a graduate of Clarkstown North High School and Pace University, and later moved to Goshen, NY with her loving husband Lee Weisberg. Frances was a woman of deep faith. She was Treasurer for the New York State Catholic Daughters of the Americas, a member of the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy and several prayer groups. Frances was also a strong supporter of the Right to Life movement and devoted CCD teacher to generations of students at St John The Evangelist Church for nearly 30 years.
Frances was a lifelong Accountant, most recently with ShortLine Bus Company in Mahwah, NJ and SLX Capital Management in Allendale, NJ. Her other passions were traveling the world, cheering at Yankee Stadium, and spoiling her children Frank, Alex and Liza and grandsons Gionni and Chance. She is also survived by her 3 brothers, Frank A. Cifuni Jr, Thomas Cifuni & wife Debbie, and James Cifuni; and her 2 sisters, Carol Cifuni and twin Dian Cifuni. Frances was predeceased by her parents, Veronica H. (Hirt) & Frank A. Cifuni, Sr, and her beloved brother Richard Cifuni.
Frances will be missed by all who knew her, and welcomed fondly by those she has missed. She will be remembered for her incredible strength, and devotion to her family, friends and community. Family will receive visitors on Thursday, July 8th at Higgins Funeral Home, Congers from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, July 9th at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Lake Road, Congers at 10am.
