Jim is gone and we are all going to miss him dearly. Now he walks with God and all the other O’Briens and Zablockis that passed before him. Just think about all those lucky souls getting to hear Jimmy’s stories everyday!

I remember one story after Marian and Jim came back from a trip to Germany. Jim was excited about an opportunity to open a beer and hamburger joint in Berlin. He wanted me to join him in the quest but it was not to be. Too many other life things got in the way. I regret not going down that road.

My wife Gigi and I will miss Jimmy Very much and we hope Marian and the family will find comfort soon. Our hearts and prayers are with you all.

God Bless Jimmy O’Brien!

Hi Marian and family, really sorry to hear about the loss of Jimmy he was a character that we had the pleasure of meeting both in Ireland and the US. We will never forget the hospitality you all extended to our family and especially Jimmy's joyous welcome.
Although a true American, he loved both his Irish and German heritage.
Thinking of you all at this sad time.
Kind regards,
Peter, Ann, Siobhan & Therese.

So sorry for your loss. Growing up, I remember "Mr. OB" as a warm and generous person with a great sense of humor. Rest in peace, Jim.

Jimmy and Marian were part of our lives since we were kids. They were Best man and Bride’s maid at our wedding and god parents to our sons. They have always been our best friends.

For well over 55 years Jimmy was a life force that could not be contained. I am missing a part of me that will never be replaced. Whenever we spoke or saw each other we were transported back to 1965. We were always the same kids we were when we first met. Those memories that can never be erased.

Jim was the most most honest and genuine person I ever met. Jim was Jim 100% of the time. I will miss my brother everyday. The world is less for his not being in it.

Godspeed my friend, until we meet again. I always loved you.

Dad...I am really devastated by this loss. The times we shared, as little as they be, has been some of the most important in my life. You were a Dad for me when I never had Dad.

I always loved you, and that love when passing your Daughter to me as my wife, is the greatest love, faith, and trust a Dad can only give. You will always be missed and never forgotten.

Goodbye for now Dad...

Lisa and I send our heartfelt condolences to all. Some of my fondest childhood memories came from my days spent with the O’Briens, and that would have never happened without Jim (and Marian) allowing me into their home. Jim selflessly drove me up there and back home, and made the entire drive a lot of fun. I will never forget those days, and am forever grateful. Thank you, Jim, for being you. God bless and Rest In Peace.

Uncle Jim, you will be forever remembered and loved. You were the best Uncle a girl could have. You are missed already. I Love you always Cathy
